We spent the past weekend here. Great place to stay! Clean room. Great mattress. Quiet heater. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, small toaster oven. Coffee cups and glass, not plastic, glasses. Two bedside tables. A table and chairs inside and outside the room. The latter is nice to sit out and look at the stars and there is no huge motel sign to ruin the darkness. If you need more room to sit outside, there are several larger tables and chairs at the end of the building. Only half a mile to the market and The Mall, but just a little way out so that we had more of the feel of the desert. Kenny and Bonni are wonderful hosts.

Stayed for two nights last weekend. We had a good time. Found what we were looking for, peace and quiet with lots of photo ops. Shopping was nice. The hotel was very nice. Having no TV was enjoyable - what a surprise. The flannel sheets were a nice touch. The room was nicely decorated. Liked the brick cinder walls. Will definitely return.

Travelled from Scotland over to and around southern California for a couple of days before staying with our son and his wife and daughter in San Diego. Hadn't booked anything and just looked around Borrego springs to see what was available. Found this beautiful place and stayed for the one comfortable night. Bonnie and Kenny are fashioning this into a very pleasant place to stay and we would recommend it highly. The lack of phone, wifi and tv just adds to the peace and quiet of these gorgeous surroundings. Don't hesitate, just book, or if you are like us and book on the spur of the moment, just hope they have a room available. Nice people, nice place and Duchess, the huge dog is a lovely big softy.

My wife and I stayed here and thought It was just right. NO phone (ok), NO internet (ok), NO TV!!!! (I survived). Great owners and Dutchess. Great prices and beds. They are memory foam and are great. It is worth giving up a phone, TV, and internet for the weekend for a good mattress, yeah, that's where I am in my life. The stars are your TV.

Stayed here last winter -- my first visit to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park since my childhood. Plan to return this winter and look forward to staying here again.
