I needed to find lodging in Borrego for 3-4 days a week while I was in town for work. I wasn't looking for a resort but a quite, comfortable, clean place to rest my bones. I talked to others that had been here, read on the net a d Talked to Bonnie on the phone prior to reserving a room. Bonnie was very pleasent, helpful, and down right cheerful on the phone. So I reserved and I just arrived after my 1st 10'hour day in the blistering heat. Ken met me outside at my vehicle, with a warm hello, smile and handshake. I met the dog and she is beautiful and extremely friendly. I was give the 3 dollar verbal tour of what is available, asked what it is I would like to eat and given several options. When I entered my room I was shocked to feel that the A/C was already blowing cold and the room was at a very comfortable temp. I've used the shower which has plenty of water, the shower head is up high enough so my 6 ft head doesnt bump into it. Towels are plush and awesome! Bed is plush and very comfy, room is very clean. So far it is everything Ken and Bonnie said it was. If they and this hotel continue with the outstanding service I will most def. Will make this my part time home till my work in the area is done. Small, private, peaceful, clean and Ken, Bonnie, Duchess are all wonderful. First impressions was everything they promised and has been said in the other reviews.

This is Borrego Springs' best kept lodging secret. Sparkling clean, newly renovated cinder block rooms, extremely comfortable queen bed, useful little fridge, coffee maker and mini-microwave for heating things like cinnamon rolls or a bagel. Tea and coffee, mugs, etc. provided. Incredibly plush towels in the bathroom. No TV (a plus for us), but plenty of parking. For those who recall the Whispering Sands Motel at this location, Borrego Springs Motel is a major improvement on a familiar site. The innkeepers are friendly and helpful. They continue to improve the grounds. We stayed during early March and, if time permits, would like to return for one of the upcoming fall or winter meteor showers (Borrego Springs is a designated Dark Sky community). Give this economical small desert motel a try!
